Wells Contemporary Gablefront House Plan
A commonly built vernacular form, the gablefront house is a rectangular box topped with a simple street-facing gable. As an early 19th century modification of traditional colonial homes, gablefronts were built to fit the deep, narrow lots ubiquitous with urban areas. They are simple, practical, and highly adaptable.
A bright, modern interpretation of the folk home, the Wells Contemporary House Plan has an attached garage and living room with windows on three sides which enclose an intimate courtyard. Large windows provide abundant daylight and complement a sleek, modern interior.
