Wells Contemporary Gablefront House Plan
A commonly built vernacular form, the gablefront house is a rectangular box topped with a simple street-facing gable. As an early 19th century modification of traditional colonial homes, gablefronts were built to fit the deep, narrow lots ubiquitous with urban areas. They are simple, practical, and highly adaptable.
